We are releasing the second patch release of the 1.8 series.
This release includes 7 changes since 1.8.1 by 3 contributors. We thank all the contributors for all the effort put into improving the language! ❤️
It fixes a couple minor bugs in the standard library and one in the compiler codegen.
Most relevant is a regression in 1.8.1 regarding
JSON::Serializable on certain recursively defined types (#13430).

If you find any further issues, please report it.
We have been able to do all of this thanks to the continued support of 84codes, Nikola Motor Company and every other sponsor. To maintain and increase the development pace, donations and sponsorships are essential. OpenCollective is available for that. Reach out to email@example.com if you’d like to become a direct sponsor or find other ways to support Crystal. We thank you in advance!
